Cova / Privacy
Effective July 10, 2026
Music, artwork, lyrics, listening history, library settings, and connection details are stored locally on your device.
When enabled, Cova syncs lightweight playlist data. Music files, artwork, lyrics, and library credentials are not uploaded.
Cova does not use its own servers or third-party servers to collect, analyze, or store your usage data.
This policy applies to the Cova apps for macOS and iOS and the Cova website. It explains how data is handled during music playback, library management, iCloud sync, and remote library connections.
Cova reads and stores music file paths, track information, artwork, lyrics, listening history, library settings, and remote library connection details on your device. This data is used to organize your library and play music. It is not uploaded to Cova servers.
If you enable iCloud, Cova uses your iCloud account to sync lightweight playlist data. Music files, artwork, lyrics, listening history, and remote library credentials are not included in this sync.
Your Apple account manages iCloud data. You can disable Cova's iCloud access in system settings.
Cova does not operate servers that collect user data and does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or behavior-tracking services. Cova does not sell or share your music or listening history, or use it for advertising.
When you connect WebDAV, OSS, or Navidrome, Cova accesses the service directly from your device. Requests do not pass through Cova servers, and Cova does not store the transferred content. The remote service remains subject to its own privacy policy.
Cova requests file, network, or media library access only when a feature requires it. You can review or revoke permissions in system settings, but the related feature may stop working.
Removing a library source deletes its library record from Cova on your device, not the original music files. Uninstalling Cova removes its local app data. Lightweight playlist data in iCloud can be managed through Apple.
Cova does not collect personal data from children or other users. Contact us at the address below if you have a question about children's privacy.
If this policy changes, the updated text will be published on this page with a new effective date.
